The Red Sox want a new, larger Fenway Park, and the leaders of the State Legislature and the City of Boston have been trying to figure out a way to give it to them. This cartoon appeared as a deal was being cobbled together in time for action by the Legislature before the end of the fiscal year. Now the only thing that remains is for the City Council to say yea or nay. The issue of course is whether the taxpayers should be subsidizing a private for-profit business that creates very few jobs.
