A black and white version of this comic appeared in the July/August 2001 issue of Dollars & Sense magazine. "Megadreams" was part of a series of 2-page comics about economic globalization and neoliberalism. To see the rest of the series, go to The Comic Strip of Neoliberalism. I have had the indispensable assistance of Dollars & Sense editor Alejandro Reuss in shaping this project. On this particular installment I am also indebted to Wendy Call, a former Dollars and Sense editor, who participated in the struggle against the megaproject and who has written extensively about it. Wendy provided the text for a Spanish language version of the comic which was used by organizers in southern Mexico.

The megaproject was re-named PPP (Plan Pueblo Panama) and involves several other countries, as well as the Inter-American Development Bank.

I am very interested in hearing suggestions from other people with knowledge of this subject. Drop me a line.
