Don't worry, everything worked out OK for both these guys. At the time I drew this, Massachusetts Governor Paul Cellucci was in trouble (along with every other Massachusetts leader) for the huge cost overruns on the "Big Dig" construction project. Meanwhile, it was understood that Cellucci was backing George W. Bush for President in hopes of escaping into a Bush administration, but at this point in the campaign it looked like Bush was in trouble too. Later, after Bush stole the election, he did appoint Cellucci to be Ambassador to Canada.
